Ok i use internet exploorer, and have tried the normal pop up blocker on it's highest security, i have tried add aware, and have tried windows defender, and use avg free for virus protection... help I'm still getting hit with pop up adds and vidios and have no allowed sites and want to scream. Any help would be nice
Don't suppose you were silly ill informed or whatever and installed the sponsor that comes with messenger plus? just a thought as there never seemed to be a spywear remover that could totally deal with the consequences of that.
do u have google toolbar installed? i had this problem. after remove google toolbar from my control pannel, my IE working nicely.
i'd get xsoft spy too, it finds stuff that adaware will not find
Spybot also finds things adaware and windows defender can't find.

The sad thing is that none of the spy killers find everything. I would agree with taking out the Google ToolBar. I have found this on client's machines and once it's removed things do work a bit better and the popups are less.
